Yeah I saw that. Twitter no longer allows pulling that kind of content so I had to remove it. If you know of another site that allows RSS feeds to be generated for search results I can add it. I checked tumblr and meh. not so great.

Just FYI, our old site the version of We Make Zines hosted by “ning” seems to have come back, and is run by scammers trying to harvest your personal information… Be careful if you have old bookmarks laying round.

Hello, has anyone ever successfully done a hectograph to create their zine? Or heck, just made a hectograph work at all? I have been struggling to get an image with one. I am using mimeograph sheets and a “geli plate” commercial gelatin plate and water.

Here\’s a cool PDF I found somewhere called \”The Repro Guide.\” The section called Xerography is really awesome. It\’s a a deeper dive into copier art than I\’ve previously seen.

If you have probs with the site or someone on it (a couple spammers have made it through our defenses) I’m the guy to talk to. There are a few backup admins and Krissy (The original WMZ found) still owns the domain but I put this WMZ site together and I maintain it and the server it resides on.

I draw, paint and make photographs. I also like to hike. I live in Los Angeles, so there is a lot of city to explore too. I like riding the subway/light rail just to see where it takes me.
I used to be a camera man for low-budget horror movies but I haven’t shot anything in a while. Also I like most art projects, including mail art.

Yeah, it is a copyright issue for sure. But zines are such small run and zinesters are (usually) not millionaires, so the chances that someone would come after you is really slight. I would say clip up those magazines and get to pasting.
