Hi there! OK, track back to February 2016 when I had to think seriously about whether I should continue to produce more glossy photobooks for my MA Photography course or think about exhibition possibilities. Both meant big expense and so more research. After much research I discovered the world of zines and photozines. Why hadn’t I found this world before? Now, four photozines later, all produced using graphic design software and online printers. Zines suit my work and philosophy. My course has now come to an end, but I have a gut feeling that zines are ‘under my skin!’ Photocopying and riso printing are outputs I seriously want to explore next in my zine world journey.

    • Awesome post Julius. I am a newbie – first zine(s) to be completed during IZM. I’m also interested in exploring riso printing; I viewed and read some zines in a library collection that were printed with riso – gorgeous. Look forward to checking out your etsy shop.

      • Thanks for your kind comments, Frances. Yes, I’m pretty well hooked on zines and I will be very interested to hear about your progress with riso printing. I’m still researching that process and would love to find a place in the UK where it’s all hands on! You’re right about the results as the ones I’ve seen online have been truly marvellous!
