Are there commercial zine printers? You mean like dropping a master off at kinkos and just asking to have 200 printed or something?

The only ones I’ve seen are pretty $$ and produce slick zines for commercial photogs adverts.

I use an online commercial printers – you upload JPG images and you get in the post (very quickly!) perfect copies. Last lot I received before they had even sent me an invoice to pay for it! A bizarre business model and very trustworthy, but I have used them 4 times now so perhaps they know I am good for the payment.

Great for batch printing, my last run was 50 copies of 6 double sized A4 in black and white (so 300 double sided sheets). With carriage it was about £26, so less than 50p per zine which is pretty good in my opinion as I had zero hassle with printing it myself and it saved a whole bunch of time.

For smaller runs / proof reading / etc I still DIY and “borrow” the work printer.
